Time (2007)
Another interesting/weird Korean movie by Kim Di-Duk, who I’m really digging as director. It’s about people losing their identity/going crazy after getting plastic surgery done for everlasting love. The movie is absolutely fucked up in a brilliant and entertaining way. I friggin’ loved it.
Isle, The (2000)
The third Kim Di-Duk film I watched. I can’t help it. I’ve wanted MOAR and MOAR ever since I saw Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring. This one was a lot more violent, explicit and confusing than the others. It was pretty much the same in the ‘crazy’ department though. It was a very shocking movie that was kind of interesting but not impressive enough for a re-watch.
Legend of Drunken Master, The (1994)
If there’s anything I’ve learnt watching his movies, it’s that Jackie Chan is freaking amazing. A freak of nature freaking amazing. The fightscenes are fabulous, superentertaining, original and… and… EXPLOSIVE! Jackie Chan is a friggin HULK in the end and it’s awesome.
Gohatto (1999)
I didn’t really watch the movie, I just kind of glanced through it. I do think I have the right impression though. It’s a Japanese gay samurai murder story movie thing. It looks kind of cool, with the samurai and stuff. And Ryuhei Matsuda is kind of mysterious and girly and weird and stuff. Overall, the movie is kind of weird in a bad way, like confusing-weird and awkward-weird and doesn’t-add-up-weird. So yeah, it’s kind of stupid.
