After dropping Library War from my watchlist, I set out to find a replacement. I hit up some anime blogs and discovered The Tower of DRUAGA – Aegis of URUK. Yes, it sounds very funky/suspicious. Apparently, it took its name from a really old arcade game from the eighties. But watching the show, you’d really think it was a RPG (or MMORPG) or something. Ten seconds into the first episode, I was ready to call it a day… It looked as stupidous as the title sounded. I’m lucky I didn’t. It was the funniest shit I’ve seen in a long while. The first episode was a hilarious spoof of Japanese RPGs with the stupidest shit happening one after another. It totally caught me by surprise and just when I thought I’d found my show, it turns out to be a one time thing. The second episode got all serious and generic and I was very disappointed. Still couldn’t figure out if the show was supposed to be serious or not, so I watched the third one just in case. It got worse from there. I’d still watch this if it continued to spoof, but it’s a lost cause by now. Too bad.
